Happy Noob Year
Santa got me a couple of subscriptions that allow me to learn/practice skills in cloud environments. I've been learning more about Linux but up to this point still too chicken to install anything on my own machine though I did find a dual boot setup article. I'm going to go through that this weekend and I will link to and credit the author in my next post.
On top of this, I've been studying/reviewing Python. I'm going to be teaching a short course in Python and my full-time Bootcamp students are going to be learning to build Django apps. I don't know if I mentioned my pandemic vices but they include huge outlays for courses on Udemy and a lot of Humble Bundles. I've been enjoying a book on No Starch called Serious Python and also Python for Geeks from bundle purchases. I've also been going through a series of Deep Dive Udemy courses produced by Fred Baptiste.
I'm also beginning my next semester of graduate work and that should feature some fun with Python. Right now my work on my Python and Linux skills is keeping me busy and out of trouble!
